Our next “Taste & Learn” will be held Saturday, October 24,, from 4 to 6 p.m. This month we’re going back to my favorite region—Piemonte—and will feature the wines of Beni di Batasiolo. These wines are the memorable ones we paired with seasonal white truffles a couple of years back…and they were a HUGE hit!]

Guests at this month’s Taste & Learn will enjoy the following wine-and-food pairings:

  • Gavi, Beni di Batasiolo –  Gavi will be paired with garden vegetables and crema di bagna cauda.
  • Barbera, Sovrana, Beni di Batasiolo, – Barbera will be paired with veal tongue, bell peppers gastrique and red onions.
  • Barbaresco, Docg, Beni di Batasiolo – Barbaresco will be paired with veal small pockets ravioli, parmigiana reggiano reduction and veal truffle sauce.
  • Barolo, Bussia Vigneto Bofani, Beni di Batasiolo – Barolo will be paired with beef cheek polenta.

Taste & Learn has become a very popular event, so I do recommend to make your reservations early! The cost for this extraordinary epicurean event is $65 per person, tax and gratuity included.

With growing interest in Taste & Learn, the quality of both the wines and the dishes we are able to feature continues to increase. With four wine pours (plus Prosecco) and four exceptionally paired small plates offered during the two-hour experience, $65 represents an extraordinary value.
