Buon Giorno,

We are pleased to announce our next Taste & Learn, to be held Saturday, September 24, from 4 to 6 p.m. The cost is $65 per person (all inclusive of tax and tip) and reservations are required.

Indeed, it seems we simply cannot stay away from Tuscany! This month we’ll return to its beautiful rolling hills and world-renowned vineyards to feature the wines of Il Poggione. Brunello di Montalcino first became widely known early in the 1900s, thanks to Il Poggione, whose owner is one of the founding members of the Brunello Consortium.

The evening’s Taste & Learn will take us on a delectable journey through Tuscany, where we will sample the best of its cuisine and winemaking traditions. Here is our menu:

First Course:

Rosato di Toscana, Lo Sbrancato, 2015, paired with Panzanella Autunnale – butternut squash salad, Tuscan bread and sheep’s ricotta cheese.

Second Course:

Rosso di Montalcino, Il Poggione, 2013, paired with Budino al Pecorino – Tuscan pecorino cheese pudding, pear, prosciutto, celery and walnuts.

Third Course:

Brunello di Montalcino, Il Poggione, 2011, accompanied by Maremmani al Cinghiale – wild boar and spinach ravioli with porcini mushroom sauce.

Fourth Course:

Brunello di Montalcino Riserva, Vigna Paganelli, served with Tagliata Chianina – grilled natural prime ribeye, braised endive, chickpeas, and pancetta.

With such a superb array of wines and exquisite dishes prepared by Chef Francesco DiCaudo, this event will sell out immediately—so be sure to reserve your place today!

Also, you must be advised it is extraordinarily rare for us to serve two Brunellos during any single event, especially the Riserva 2010, which may in fact be the best vintage ever for Brunello di Montalcino.

We cannot wait for you to join us on the 24th
