Ferraro’s Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar invites guests to travel to the Mt. Etna region of Italy without leaving Las Vegas. On Sept. 18 at 6 p.m., guests will “tour” Mt. Etna’s Benanti Winery with owner Antonio Benanti at an exclusive, four-course dinner showcasing top-rated wines from this emerging winemaking destination. Each wine will be paired with a specially prepared dish by Executive Chef Francesco DiCaudo, who was born and raised in the Mt. Etna region. The menu and wine pairing are offered for $150 per person.

This family-run winery is located on the slopes of the Etna Volcano in Sicily and ranks among the most prominent producers of fine wines in Italy. Antonio Benanti and his twin brother, Salvino, took over the business in 2012 from their father Giuseppe and have worked diligently to refine its processes, focusing on the best varietal characteristics of the Etnean varieties. Describing their wines as “slow wines,” the brothers ensure nothing is rushed in the Benanti winemaking process. Antonio Benanti’s reputation as an authority on Mt. Etna winemaking earned him the role as president of Consorzio Vini dell’Etna—that region’s wine producers’ union.
