Ferraro’s Ristorante invites guests to an unforgettable evening of white truffles and Nebbiolo on Sunday, Dec. 14, at 6:30 p.m. At this extraordinary dinner featuring La Spinetta, guests will savor exceptional wines whose prices range from $500-$700 per bottle, paired with the finest Italian truffles. Making this evening truly remarkable, Giorgio Rivetti, one of Italy’s premier winemakers and the owner of La Spinetta, will be in attendance for one night only.

As one of Italy’s most prestigious wineries, La Spinetta is renowned for producing exceptional, high-quality wines reflecting the distinct character of the Piedmont and Tuscany regions. In addition to La Spinetta’s celebrated wines, the evening will also showcase sparkling wines from La Spinetta’s sister winery, Contratto, which rivals the best Champagnes of France.

Guests will begin the tasting with Contratto “For England Rosé” Alta Langa DOCG Pas Dosé, a refined sparkling rosé with delicate notes of wild strawberry, red currant and citrus peel. Next is the Timorasso, a vibrant and complex white wine revealing layers of ripe pear, white peach and golden apple, balanced by bright minerality and a zesty citrus finish. Third on the menu is the Bordini Barbaresco, a graceful Barbaresco offering aromas of red cherry, plum and wild berries, complemented by hints of dried herbs, tobacco and supple tannins. Following is the Valeirano Barbaresco, a powerful and structured expression with concentrated flavors of dark cherry, blackberry and violets. To conclude, Campe Barolo is a bold and age-worthy Barolo brimming with intense black cherry and fig notes, accented by tobacco, truffle and firm, polished tannins.

“Italian white truffles are among the rarest and most celebrated culinary treasures in the world,” said Mimmo Ferraro, executive chef, Ferraro’s. “Because they grow only for a short season in limited regions of Italy, each dish becomes a once-in-a-lifetime experience. When paired with La Spinetta’s exceptional wines, the result is nothing short of extraordinary.”
