Ferraro’s Ristorante will host an extraordinary evening celebrating Tenuta San Guido and Sassicaia, the first Super Tuscan ever produced, on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 6 p.m. This rare and highly anticipated dinner will feature a vertical tasting of the highly rated Sassicaia 2010, 2018 and 2021 vintages—the latter of which earned a rare 100-point score from Robert Parker Wine Advocate.
Tenuta San Guido’s Sassicaia, which was introduced to the public in 1971 with the 1968 vintage, forever changed the landscape of Italian wine and established the Super Tuscan category. Revered worldwide for its elegance and structure, Sassicaia remains one of the most collectible wines in the world.
Making the evening even more memorable, Tenuta San Guido Brand Ambassador Tiziano Bastianoni and Master Sommelier Sarah Klein will guide guests through the tasting and share insight into the legacy of winery and the evolution of Sassicaia across vintages.
The first Tenuta San Guido wine of the evening, Le Difese 2023, presents a refined and approachable expression of the estate’s style. Guidalberto 2023 follows, offering depth and balance with polished tannins and layered dark fruit. The highlight of the evening will be the vertical tasting of Sassicaia 2010, 2018 and 2021, showcasing the extraordinary consistency and complexity of one of Italy’s most iconic and highly rated wines. The experience concludes with Sassicaia Grappa.
