Ferraro’s Ristorante invites guests to experience its next Taste & Learn on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 5 p.m. with wines from Lodali. Taste & Learn is Ferraro’s popular, monthly wine-tasting event that provides illuminating wine education along with a menu of imaginative, authentic Italian small plates created by Ferraro’s executive chef Mimmo Ferraro.

Founded in 1939 by Giovanni Lodali in the small village of Treiso, Italy, Lodali has grown from a humble family cellar to one of Piedmont’s most respected wineries. Now led by the third generation, the estate continues its legacy in the heart of the Langhe, a UNESCO World Heritage wine region, producing acclaimed Barolo and Barbaresco. Guided by a deep respect for tradition, Lodali carefully cultivates its sun-drenched vineyards and oversees every step of production to craft wines celebrated around the world.

Taste & Learn attendees will begin with the Langhe Chardonnay, a refined white wine offering aromas of golden apple and pear alongside bright citrus, hints of vanilla and a touch of toasted almond. Next is the Lorens Barbera, a lively red bursting with cherry and raspberry flavors, balanced by refreshing acidity and a subtle layer of spice. The tasting continues with the 7 Fratelli Barbaresco, an elegant and complex wine revealing notes of ripe red berries, rose petal and licorice framed by fine tannins and a long, graceful finish. Finally, guests will savor the Lorens Barolo, showcasing layers of dark cherry, plum and tobacco with undertones of truffle and earthy spice that deepen beautifully over time.

What I love about Lodali is how every wine reflects the land it comes from — the sun, the soil, the generations of care,” said Mimmo. “Our Taste & Learn dishes are designed to honor that same spirit, highlighting simple, elevated flavors that bring the wines to life.”
