Ciao, tutti!

Our first Taste & Learn of the spring will celebrate the flavors of the year’s most delectable season.  For the event on March 25th from 4 PM – 6 PM, Chef Francesco DiCaudo has prepared an unsurpassed menu to accompany this month’s wines from the historic E. Pira & Figli winery in Barolo, Italy. Known, of course, for the magnificent Nebbiolo grape—my favorite, of course—Barolo is located in the Piedmont region that produces some of the world’s most exquisite wines.

Our menu will include:

La Colombera “Derthona” Timorasso, 2012 with Ricciola in Tartare

  • Amberjack tartar, fennel, blood orange, green tea

E. Pira & Figli, Dolcetto d’Alba, 2014, with Sfomatino Tiepido ai Carciofi

  • Warm artichoke flan, castelmagno cheese fondue, duck prosciutto

E. Pira & Figli, Barbera d’Alba 2013 with Tarjarin e Animelle

  • Thirty Yolks Taglierini, mushroom and veal sweetbread ragu

 E. Pira & Figli, Barolo, Cannubi, 2006, with Spezzatino d’Anatra

  • Duck stew, topinambur, and cabbage
